Al Ajab Metal Galvanizing Factory has adopted hi-tech method of galvanization called
"High Velocity System" in order to ensure high quality, guarantee impeccable performance
and confirm to top international standards. Due to this advanced technology, coating variations will be very less and under control.
As our Zinc bath operation is continuous and
the temperature is controlled automatically the same on all parts of bath, any desired thickness
in accordance to the client's requirement can be attained perfectly. This is a very special advantage in galvanizing field and is available only in our factory for the whole
of Eastern Province.
Total capacity of our plant(s) is 50,000 metric tons per year.

|
To assure the versatility of process relevant International Standards are followed such as:
ASTM-A-123, BS EN ISO-1461, ASTM-143, ASTM-A-152, ASTM-A-384, ASTM-A-385, ASTM-A-90, ASTM-A-780 and ASTM-376 |
What is Galvanizing?
|
It is a layer of coating formed as a covering of pure zinc that is carried out on the material as it is withdrawn from molten zinc bath. The underlying series of zinc/iron alloys in the coating are the coating are the result of a metallurgical reaction between molten zinc and the steel or iron material being galvanized.
Galvanizing coating itself is considered to be a self-inspecting system because the reaction between the molten zinc and steel will not occur unless the steel surface is chemically clean. Since zinc/iron alloys are harder than the underlying steel, they will provide excellent abrasion resistance to the galvanized article. Zinc coating protects the surface against corrosion by providing protection to the iron or steel as it shields the base metal from atmosphere and as it is more electronegative than iron or steel, the zinc gives cathode protection.
Further the combination of the all the layers to produce galvanized coating provides toughness and resistance to mechanical damage in transport, erection and service |
Importance of Galvanizing
|
The importance of galvanizing has lower cost than that of applying alternative coatings and it is comparatively cheaper.
It is unique and ready for use. It can be applied on wide range of products such as steel structures, pipes, angles, etc. Low initial cost and long life make galvanizing the most versatile & economic way of protecting steel for longer periods.
|
Why Galvanizing?
|
Mainly it is cost effective. Second, without any periodic maintenance, galvanizing coating has long life that is at least 20 to 40 years in industrial environments and 50 to 100 years in less aggressive atmosphere
